Some patients are concerned with the amount of radiation from an X-ray. On average, each person receives about 300 MREM of radiation exposure just from natural background radiation every year. An 
X-Ray of the low back is 100 MREM of radiation exposure.
The current federal exposure limit for an adult is 5000 MREM or radiation exposure per year or a maximum of 3000 MREM of radiation exposure in a single dose.
We are State certified in X-Ray radiation safety. Our X-Ray unit is very minimal in the amount of radiation exposure to your body. An X-Ray is used to determine a multitude of bone injuries and disorders.
